The following titles are part of my expanding personal collection. I can trade copies of all of these, but do not buy or sell dupes of prerecords.
I am also keen to obtain missing titles from the list, and in particular widescreen copies, and uncut UK versions.FORMAT
All of the following are now available in either NTSC or PAL format (in otherwords, I can supply the right version for any global requirements). I can supply VHS copies, or DVD copies on DVD+R or DVD+RW discs. Most dvd players will play DVD+R discs. If in doubt, check your instuction manual. When making your requests please specify the format required (list titles requested, format (DVD or VHS), your mailing details (and any colour format - PAL or NTSC). I can then get back to you about costs.TRADE
Titles of Hammer productions that I have to trade are listed below. Timings are given in some instanes (where I have accurately checked against my own copy!), as well as some indication of widscreen/fullscreen formats in some (but not all) instances. For those not familiar with the differences, the fullscreen ratios fits an old television screen - approximately 1.33:1 or 4x3; widescreen pictures are slightly narrower than they are tall, a little like a letterbox. Most films after the mid 1950s were shot in a widescreen format, 1.66:1 is fairly standard. Widescreen either refers to this ratio, or 1.85:1 - the shape of a widescreen tv set. Scope format (2.35:1) are especially narrow images, which leave a black bar on the top and bottom of the frame even on a widescreen tv. Films shot in this ratio are meant to be seen in this way.
If I have anything you are interested, I generally work on a trade basis - I will supply the tape you are after, for a copy of something I am after (I'm open to offers of dvds, videos and laserdiscs. I can obtain many official releases but costs will need to be discussed privately - I recommend using the direct links on the site to our affiliates for official releases).
Otherwise, I have to make a small charge to cover the costs of materials, and wear and tear on my video copies (some of which I have obtained at great expense). The usual cost is £10 for a tape/dvd to the UK (includes recorded post), whilst overseas is around £13. Please email me first (a few of the titles on the list are more expensive). I can take cheques, postal orders, cash sent at your risk, and by credit card via paypal. This is a non-profit making venture, and charges barely cover expense.
I have a wide range of other classic British and horror films, not currently on the list.
I can be contacted at hammertrade@avalard.com. Please put in the subject line the word : Trade, followed by the title of at least one of the films you are after. Thanks.
We
support the official releases.
